Humane Borders is a faith humanitarian assistance organization that maintains over 70 water stations near the border with Mexico. The water saves the lives of migrants that pass thru the Arizona desert.
  The groups critics claim Humane Borders encourages illegal immigration. Humane Borders counters that the migrants aren’t motivated to cross by water, are they are dying in record numbers. Humane Borders says they have a moral obligation to help those in need. 227 migrants have died in Arizona in the 2005 fiscal year, in 2004 177 died. Many deaths are a result of the heat.
